I've followed Emma and Vanessa's story from the very beginning. The ups the downs and everything in between. It's been an emotional ride to say the very least. It was so nice to see Emma take centre stage this time around and how her life as an individual and with her beautiful wife looks on the every day. I wish more books showcased the every day. I love the meeting and falling in love but it's not very often we get what happens in detail after they live happily ever after. Anyways, I was so happy and shocked to find out Emma's story with her own family. It was tense and thankfully had the best outcome that i was hoping for! I hope there is a follow up down the road so their story can continue on as i just love these characters. Well done Melissa!!!

The chemistry between Emma and Vanessa is unmistakable as and has only increased over the course of the series. But its this books gentle pacing and genuine intimacy that make it feel real rather than rushed. Nothing is forced; everything builds naturally

Thoroughly enjoyed this second time around with the additional scenes.

I really enjoyed the slow burn aspect of this story. This author is known for getting into the hit and heavy quickly, which I love so never doubt that, but this was a nice pace for these two women.. the decision to have them be best friends for years made the chemistry so palpable and the constant fear of not knowing how their feelings would be received by as just enough to be believable and build the tension perfectly. I hope to se empirelike this from Tereze in the future.
