Falling in love was never a part of the business plan.

Full Description

Catherine Cooper left Thistlecroft twenty-seven years ago with only one goal in mind. Never come back. Since then, she’s built a successful career in Manchester, surrounded herself with order and ambition…and a life that makes perfect sense on paper. Returning to her hometown was never part of the plan, but when she inherits her late mother’s florist, Catherine finds herself back in the village she couldn’t wait to leave. The plan is simple, really. Sort out the business, sell the godforsaken thing, and leave again as quickly as possible.

Then she meets Isla Gerrity.

As the owner of the village stationery shop and a lifelong resident of Thistlecroft, Isla has spent her entire life surrounded by community spirit and neighbours who know far more about her business than they probably should. Warm-hearted, fiercely loyal, and entirely incapable of minding her own business when someone needs help, she’s the kind of person who always has a spare cup of tea ready and a shoulder to lean on. She also has no intention of letting Catherine hide behind the walls she’s spent years building around herself.

Between meddling villagers and competitive flower displays, unexpected friendships and a woman who makes her question everything she thought she wanted, Catherine begins to wonder if the life she’s built elsewhere is really the one she wants at all.

Because leaving isn’t always the hardest part. Sometimes it’s accepting that you’ve finally found your way back to where you’ve always belonged.
